First and main advice is that you have to love the job that you are doing. If you are just there because the money or for the popularity, forget it, you are never going to achieve it. You must be passionate about the things that you do for a living and even when the hard and stressful situation comes you can easily overcome it, because you have a goal.

Your writing must be your job and not your hobby. If you tend to succeed in your work you must give yourself 110%, otherwise you are going lose yourself and never get out of the hole that you alone dig in.

Grab the opportunity when you see one. Not many people can say that they are successful journalists today, but be prepared; you are probably going to have to do a lot of internship work before you can climb up to a ladder.

Make your articles short and interesting, unless you are writing about some serious issues, nobody wants to be bothered whit long news, readers want facts. The best way to do that is to get to know your subject well and separate all relevant things.

May your headlines have an impact; you always have to make some impression on your readers, whether is positive or negative, the worst thing you can do is to let them be indifferent. Your headline must reflect and follow your story.

The stories you write must be absolutely accurate and true. You are writing news so they must be contributed to an actual fact. Every lie or omission of the truth you lose your credibility as a writer.

Don’t write to your editor only, you have large spectra of readers; always leave a personal mark, your thoughts and suggestions, the audience will appreciate it a lot more then you think and your  articles won’t be soulless.

If you are ever stuck on some subject don’t get too depressed, you only have to cool off a little and find a new inspiration to continue your work. New inspiration is always around the corner, you just have to find it.

And the last tip would be: don’t go to a journalism school, if you don’t have a talent you certainly aren’t going to learn it in school. That is something that you are born with, you just have to direct it right direction.

Journalism is a serious profession; it’s changing the way how people think. Serious journalist always has to be prepared to tell the truth. We now have different types of the journalists that are trying to become famous over the gossips. There are small numbers of one who are really dedicated to their work, who write the real life stories and inform us about worldwide truths.
